The performance ‘The Jazz Continuum’ van LaTasha Barnes is zo tof dat we het allemaal moeten gaan zien! Daarom organiseren Roffaswing en Swing in Rhythm een watch party.
Het is gratis maar er zijn maar een beperkt aantal plaatsen, dus meld je snel aan!
Over de performance
In de verkenning van The Jazz Continuum staat het vruchtbare kunstertenaarschap van Jazzmuziek en Jazzdans centraal als een hoeksteen van Zwarte Amerikaanse dansvormen.
Via deze veelgeprezen serie verbeelden, bekrachtigen en tonen LaTasha Barnes en haar meesterlijke cast van dansers en musici de power van Jazzdans en Lindy Hop als hun persoonlijke dansreis en deze kunstvorm als een wereldwijd fenomeen.
In deze wereldpremiere van de tweede verkenning van The Jazz Continuum-serie zal deze sterke cast de dynamische en productieve relaties in Jazz en Lindy Hop onderzoeken en deelt de cast hun voorstelling van een hernieuwde toepassing.
LaTasha Barnes is een internationaal erkend en prijswinnend danser, choreograaf, docent, performer en cultuurambassadeur. Ze maakt regelmatig deel uit van de dansgezelschappen Dorrance Dance, Ephrat Asherie Dance, Ladies of Hip-Hop, en Caleb Teicher & Co.

- Neem je eigen drankje mee.
- We ventileren, dus mocht het frisjes zijn, neem iets warms mee om aan te trekken.

About the performance
The Jazz Continuum exploration centers the prolific artistry of Jazz music and dance as a cornerstone of Black American dance forms. Through this acclaimed series, LaTasha Barnes and her cast of masterful dancers and musicians embody, amplify, and showcase the power of Jazz dance and Lindy Hop to their personal dance journeys and the artform as a global phenomenon.
In this world premiere of the second exploration of the Jazz Continuum series, this powerful cast will investigate the energetic and generative relationships within Jazz and Lindy Hop and share their imaginings of its reapplication.
Barnes is an internationally recognized and award-winning dancer, choreographer, educator, performer, and ambassador of culture. She has been honored to be a frequent collaborator with Dorrance Dance, Ephrat Asherie Dance, Ladies of Hip-Hop, and Caleb Teicher & Co.
