Ahoy there! Harbour Hop is back, and this time it’ll be even better because we have 2 sets of teachers! Yaaaay!
Depending on your level we will offer you 3 or 4 hours of lindy hop of great teachers and all levels will get a solo jazz class. And ofcourse we will party hard for three days!

Sharon & Ron

All the way from Israel, the amazing Sharon Guzman & Ron Dobrovinsky! Their fun and challenging classes aim to create new insights in your dancing. Focusing on various elements of communication between partners, their classes will provide you with new ways to create more harmonic and inspiring dances. Their ability to simplify complicated concepts through a clear class buildup will provide you with practical ways for improvement. By creating fine and clear contrasts between different elements in the dance, they create a solid understanding and fast implementation of the material and inspire you with new ideas for further exploration.

Elze & Joris

From Lithuania & Belgium the fabulous Elze Visnevskyte & Joris Focquaert! They have been partners in Lindy Hop since 2012. They have been astonishing different crowds far on end, in and outside the swing dance community: in dance classes, during performances and during swing dance competitions all over Europe… with full success! Come & be inspired by these four hot feet!

Classes Level 1 (3 hours lindy hop, 1 hour solo jazz) : € 55

Levels

Each level will offer partnered lindy hop classes and one hour solo jazz class.

Level 1 Beginner-intermediate (less than a year of dancing regularly)
You are not an absolute beginner anymore: although you have been dancing less than a year, you are comfortable with the basic moves such as tuck turn, change of place and circle and you are familiar with the swingout. You will have 3 hours of lindy hop and 1 hour solo jazz dance. ATTENTION: workshop is sold out!

Level 2 Intermediate (1-2 years of dancing regularly)
You have been regularly dancing for over a year now, and are comfortable mixing 6-8 count moves. You are familiar with the side-by-side Charleston and you can swing-out at faster tempos. You will have 4 hours of lindy hop and 1 hour solo jazz dance. ATTENTION: workshop is sold out!

Level 3 Intermediate-advanced, (2+ years of dancing regularly)
You have mastered the basics and are taking your partner connection to the next level. You can improvise with your partner on the dancefloor, recognize the patterns in the music you hear. You react to the music and add your own flair to dancing, rhythmic footwork variations, styling. You will have 4 hours of lindy hop and 1 hour solo jazz. ATTENTION: workshop is sold out!

Some remarks about the schedule:
• There may be unforseen changes. We'll keep you updated.
• Level 3 is big, it will be split into two groups. If you registered for level 3, we will inform you in which group you are. 3A and 3B will have the same lessons.
• The open solo class from Joris on Sunday is a free bonus and is open for all levels (full pass only!).

Refund policy

We cannot refund your purchased passes for any reason. You can, however, re-sell your pass on your own behalf, just let us know by e-mail to whom you sold your pass as soon as possible so we can update our registration.

Hosting

Are you a Roffaswinger and have a spare sofa or bed to host a vistiing Habour Hopper? Are you coming to Rotterdam and looking for a place to rest your tired feet and head? No guarantees but we will try to link you up. Just let us know on the registration form.

Volunteers

You want to help us to help to run Harbour Hop smoothly? Do you think you could spare a few hours during the event to help out? We will need people selling coins for drinks, setting up the parties, setting down afterwards, all manner of tasks!
The whole event is run by volunteers, so any help would be greatly appreciated! Just let us know on the registration form.
