Balboa: vintage, stijlvol, pittig & swingend!

Terwijl Lindy Hoppers de balzalen bestormden in New York, ontstond er aan de Amerikaanse westkust een andere variant van het swingdansen. Balboa werd razend populair in de jaren ‘30 en ‘40 van de vorige eeuw. De balzalen waren zo stampvol dat inventief swingen op de vierkante meter het devies was.
Balboa wordt gedanst in gesloten positie op swing-muziek in een stevig tempo.

Is Balboa nieuw voor je? Doe mee met de proefles van Swing in Rhythm tussen 14 en 15 uur voor je eerste pasjes. Solo of met partner, het maakt niet uit, iedereen kan meedoen en het kost niets extra.

Swing in Rhythm is bereikbaar met het OV via Tram 8 richting Spangen, halte Euromast of Pieter de Hoochweg, en dichtbij metro Coohaven.
14 u.: intro workshop, 15u.: dansen voor iedereen!

Are you new to Balboa? Join the taster class by Swing in Rhtythm between 2 and 3 pm to learn your first steps.
Solo or with a partner, it doesn’t matter, anyone can join and it won’t cost you extra.

Swing in Rhythm will start new Balboa courses from January (Mondays), so this is an excellent to have a taste of Balboa!

Swing in Rhythm is close to metro Coolhaven or catch Tram 8 direction Spangen, stop: Euromast or Pieter de Hoochweg.
